Our Services

Oyster Energy is primarily a supplier to businesses of energy performance certificates and recommendations on how to improve energy efficiency. Upon receipt of your order we will agree an appropriate time to visit the premises to conduct the survey. On return to our offices we enter all the data into government approved software, which then calculates the energy performance of the building and makes recommendations on possible ways to improve the efficiency.

Where necessary we will also make further recommendations of alternative energy solutions giving an indication of the cost and payback period.

Stay Legal!

The European Union have now made it compulsory for commercial properties to be rated
according to their energy efficiency. Whenever a commercial property is advertised for lease or sale, an EPC is required. New constructions of commercial buildings also require this rating.

Oyster Energy registers/ lodges the newly created EPC with the government within hours of our visit. The legal position is monitored and regulated by Trading Standards.

Which level?

Commercial buildings are categorised according to the complexity of their energy demands:

Level 3 - most buildings with boiler systems and or air conditioning units, simple ventilation.

Level 4 - buildings with more complex boiler systems, variable air volume cooling systems, VAV systems, central air-conditioning plant.  Building Regulation compliance purposes e.g. New Builds.

Level 5 - very complex modern buildings having atria, automatic blind control, night-time cooling, demand controlled ventilation.
